Builders keep asking for agent control of browsers and computers. Almost nobody has built it.

1.3% of the 3,830 agent servers we probe expose a tool that does it.

What we did

We read what builders asked for this week — 372 questions, posts and searches. Then we probed 3,830 agent servers to see what they can actually do. Where those two disagree is where the opportunity is.

Today’s biggest gaps

  • Multi-agent orchestration, skills and memory — the most-asked theme this week, built by 3.1% of measured servers.
  • Agent payments and commerce — the second most-asked, built by 11.9% of measured servers.
  • Agent control of browsers and computers — ranked #7 in demand, built by 1.3% of measured servers.

Point your agent at it

You don’t buy this. Your agent does, for $0.05. No signup, no API key, no invoice.

Add one line to your MCP client — Claude, Cursor, or anything that speaks MCP:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "agentindex": {
      "url": "https://agents.traderszone.net/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Then say to it:

Ask AgentIndex what builders want that nobody has built yet, and buy the full report if it looks useful.

It will find the tool, see the price, pay, and come back with the answer.

What you get

Free: this page, and the top themes as data at /demand/preview.

Paid: every theme with the actual posts behind it, the full gap table, what to do about each one, and a current-version inventory for the main agent protocols — so you know when something you depend on has moved.

Use it for

  • Deciding what to build next, from the gap nobody has filled.
  • Checking whether a category is already crowded before you enter it.
  • Catching a protocol release you pinned against.

Why nobody else publishes this

Plenty of people have a directory. Plenty have a feed of what developers are talking about. The gap only appears where the two cross, and we run both.

How we keep it honest

  • Themes match post titles only — marketing copy in a body can’t inflate a trend.
  • Supply is counted only where a tool’s name proves the capability, never where a word merely appears. 4 of 10 themes qualify; the rest get no number.
  • The corpus started 2026-08-17. It is young, and we say so rather than dress up a trend line.

Themes tracked today

  • Multi-agent orchestration, skills and memory (37)
  • Agent payments and commerce (30)
  • New MCP server launches (30)
  • Learning and getting started (27)
  • Practitioner adoption and governance (11)

For developers. Straight HTTP works too: call GET https://agents.traderszone.net/demand, get a 402 with the payment terms, call again with an X-PAYMENT header. USDC on Base, native only. You pay no gas. Machine-readable terms: /.well-known/x402. Archive: past editions.
